We've seen the 2013 Lincoln MKZ on the road before sans camouflage, but it's the company that this particular MKZ is keeping that makes these photos notable. Ford Motor Co.'s design studios worldwide will provide styling ideas for an American icon: the next generation Mustang. "It is a common process we [now] use on every vehicle," Derrick Kuzak, Ford's group vice president for global product development, said Tuesday at the Geneva auto show. Ford's next-generation pony car will be the first Mustang with styling themes proposed by studios in Europe, Australia and other regions.
The 2014 Dodge Dart SXT will get the Blacktop treatment at the Detroit auto show next week. The company offered the same styling tweaks last year on the Journey, Durango and Grand Caravan. The Blacktop trim adds 18-inch gloss black wheels, gloss black side mirrors, and a sportier interior to the small sedan, as well as a black split-crosshair grille, dark headlight bezels and a few other bits.
